Land of the Lost
In Stewart O’Nan’s destitute story “Land of the Lost” a woman’s life is forward the edge of being taking through by her lust for reaching a goal. In the beginning of the passage, the reader gets a feeling that this woman is every ordinary middle aged woman living ~ dint of. herself with her dog, nothing odd. It turns out that this is not the event. Soon after the beginning the reader gets the sympathetic that the main character is obsessed ~ dint of. this case, and this obsession by little and little grows throughout the text. She begins every investigation of this buried girl, digging holes, documenting everything attached video and arranges her shifts at her turn away job, so that she can take superior situation of the daylight during the sifting. One day in her search, she finds matter and immediately calls the FBI on this account that help, it was false alarm allowing, and they found nothing. She admits individual of reasons of the search to herself: “She could ~ of that at least part of the conception she was searching for a unacquainted’s daughter was that no any else needed her. Just Ollie” (P. 9, l. 61-62). After the FBI coincidence she promises her two sons that she would take a infringe.
