The feelings of isolation and breach can be frustrating, dangerous and they have power to
even drive a person crazy. People continually deal with these issues differently. Some manage
to deal through these feelings and continue on by their lives while others are impotent to
overcome them. In “Brian The Still Hunter” ~ means of Susanna Moodie, Brian is overcome by
his feelings of isolation and demise. Isolation and alienation can occur instead of many
reasons, not only from feelings of isolation, fear or helplessness but also from the
division of society, the people closest to you and some’s self. Brian feels alone and
alienated against many reasons. Brian is not pleased by his life which creates a sympathetic of
extreme alienation. Brian is alienated since of his drinking, his self refusal,and his
suicide attempt and not but
Brian’s drinking alienates him in multiplied ways as he goes on toping sprees for
weeks at a time: Arter centre of life on the spree for a week or two, he would take fits of
regret and return home to his wife (boy-servant 342).
These drinking sprees alienate him from his wife. When Brian is tippling, he becomes
Confrontational: Brian was one awful passionate man, and when the liquid substance was in and the
wit was at a loss, as savage and quarrelsome as a hold up (page 341).
No one wants to exist a round him because he for ever wants to fight and even whenever he
win the fight he is in continuance miserable.
Brian alienates himself by toping, for years he would go along on drinking binges
and not accept home for days or sometimes weeks in successi~ end. He did not see his household and
friends during this time. Brian would contribute into the woods and drink ~ the agency of himself, this got to
be to abundant for him. Brian is not seasonable with his life. He asks Layton to draw near down to the
