DEFINE THE FOLLOWING TERMS FROM THE GLOSSARY:
ECOSYSTEM: a community of organisms and their abiotic environment.
BIOTIC FACTOR: ~y environmental factor that is associated by or results from the activities of existing organisms (100)
ABIOTIC FACTOR: describes the non-course of life part of the environment, including irrigate, rocks, light, and temperature.
ORGANISM: a mode of life; anything that can carry out life processes independently.
SPECIES: a clump of organisms that are closely connected and can mate to produce fruit-bearing offspring; also the level of arrangement below genus and above sub-assemblage.
POPULATION: a group of organisms of the same species that live in a characteristic geographical area and interbreed.
COMMUNITY: a arrange of various species that live in the same habitat and interact with each other.
HABITAT: the room where an organism usually lives.
NATURAL SELECTION: the mode of operation by which individuals that are greater good adapted to their environment survive and represent more successfully than less well adapted individuals work; a theory to explain the mechanism of evolution.
EVOLUTION: a heritable change in the characteristics within a number of people from one generation to the nearest; the development of new types of organisms from preexisting types of organisms across time.
ADAPTATION: the process of graceful adapted to an environment; an anatomical, physiological, or behavioral modify that improves a population’s force to survive.
ARTIFICIAL SELECTION: the selective having of organisms (by humans) for particular desirable characteristics.
RESISTANCE: in biology, the genius of an organism to tolerate a chemical or ail-causing agent.
ARCHEABACTERIA: a kingdom made up of prokaryotes (most of which are known to live in climax environments) that are distinguished from other...
