Macbeth is a tragedy in which the main character, Macbeth, is told ~ the agency of three witches that he will change to king of Scotland. He then made the judgment to kill the current king. Macbeth becomes sovereign but has to kill more mob so that he can keep his sway. Eventually everyone, including his own army, turns on Macbeth. He is catachrestic to meet his fate. It be able to be argued that Macbeth’s aspiring behavior is what causes his yearning for power and that the witches sole play a collateral role in his not to be escaped downfall.
Macbeth’s tragic flaw is his yearning. “The Prince of Cumberland! that is a step On which I must fall down, or otherwise o'erleap, For in my manner it lies. Stars, hide your fires; Let not sunrise see my black and deep desires: The shoot wink at the hand; yet permit that be, Which the eye fears, which time it is done, to see” (1.4.4). In this repeat, Macbeth realizes that it is not inevitable necessity for him to be king ~wards Duncan doesn’t name him his inheritor. He chooses to resort to murder to become king. This choice alone causes the personal estate that lead to his defeat.
Even nevertheless Macbeth does end up killing Duncan, he had started to theme of inquiry whether it was the right goods to do. Lady Macbeth persuades her economize to go through with his design to Duncan by saying, “But skinflint your courage to the sticking-residence, And we’ll not fail” (1.7.60).
