Macbeth is a tragedy in which the main character, Macbeth, is told ~ the agency of three witches that he will change to king of Scotland. He then made the judgment to kill the current king. Macbeth becomes sovereign but has to kill more mob so that he can keep his sway. Eventually everyone, including his own army, turns on Macbeth. He is catachrestic to meet his fate. It be able to be argued that Macbeth’s aspiring behavior is what causes his yearning for power and that the witches sole play a collateral role in his not to be escaped downfall.
Macbeth’s tragic flaw is his yearning. “The Prince of Cumberland! that is a step On which I must fall down, or otherwise o'erleap, For in my manner it lies. This choice alone causes the personal estate that lead to his defeat.
