Eight people, all strangers to harvested land other, are invited to Indian Island, opposite to the English coast. Vera Claythorne, a constructer governess, thinks she has been hired viewed like a secretary; Philip Lombard, an adventurer, and William Blore, ~y ex-detective, think they have been hired to appear out for trouble over the weekend; Dr. Armstrong thinks he has been hired to gaze after the wife of the island’s owner. Emily Brent, General Macarthur, Tony Marston, and Judge Wargrave reflect they are going to visit old friends. When they arrive on the island, the guests are greeted by Mr. and Mrs. Rogers, the butler and housekeeper, who explosion that the host, they call Mr. Owen, be disposed not arrive until the next promised time. The next morning the guests supply with food that Mrs. Rogers apparently died in her be motionless. The guests hope to leave that morning, but the boat that regularly delivers stores to the island does not usher up. Blore, Lombard, and Armstrong decide that the deaths sourness have been murders and determine to range over the island in search of the occult Mr. Owen. They find no individual, however. Meanwhile, the oldest guest, General Macarthur, feels certain he is going to die and goes to take notice out at the ocean. Before lunch, Dr. Armstrong finds the general dead of a rap to the head.
